Caralluma fimbriata, also known as Karallamu or Shindala makadi, is an edible cactus used especially by people of India to reduce appetite and increase energy.
In Brazil this plant can be found under as a dry extract, usually in the form of capsules, in order to decrease appetite and body fat.

Caralluma fimbriata capsules work as a natural appetite suppressant and therefore can be used to treat cases of overweight and obesity.
How to take
It is recommended to take one 1 g capsule a day, 30 minutes before main meals.
Possible side effects
The use of Caralluma fimbriata rarely causes any side effects; however, some people may experience excessive gas, stomach pain or constipation.
Who should not use
They are not known against indications for the use of this plant, however, it should be avoided by pregnant women, women to breastfeed and under 18 years.
