Weak leg exercises are indicated for all those who have weakened leg muscles and therefore feel the legs tremble when they are standing or have difficulty walking and poor balance.
Exercises to strengthen weak legs can be performed at home, but preferably should be prescribed by a physiotherapist to respect the individual needs of the patient.
Here are some simple examples of weak leg exercises:
Exercise 1
Lie on your side, folding one of your legs. Raise the stretched leg to the height of the other knee. Do 20 reps, rest 30 seconds and then do another 20 times.
Exercise 2
Lying on her belly up, fold one leg and lift the other leg, stretched, to the height of the other knee. Do 20 reps, rest 30 seconds and then do another 20 times.
Exercise 3
Lying sideways keep both legs straight and raise the leg that is above the other to the height of the hip. Do 20 reps, rest 30 seconds and then do another 20 times.
The exercises should always be started gradually, without weight and with few repetitions. They can be done 3 times a week.
After a few days, when these exercises become easy, the same exercises can be performed using 0.5 kg or 1 kg pens in the patient's shins.
