Trichomonas Vaginalis is a microorganism that causes infection of the sexual organs and urinary system, transmitted by unprotected intimate contact.
The symptoms of Trichomonas are: itching, pain at the site and discharge of a yellowish secretion and abundant foul smelling. Men generally do not have symptoms, but in some it appears an irritation at the tip of the penis or the urethra.
The incubation period of Trichomonas ranges from ten to thirty days, manifesting the symptoms after this period. The treatment for this infection is done with the use of antibiotic tablets and ointments indicated by a gynecologist.
