Atenolol slows the heart rate and controls blood pressure, being very effective in the treatment of hypertension.

Tiredness; mental depression; decreased heart rate; cardiac insufficiency; Low pressure; irregular heartbeat; dizziness; difficulty breathing.

Pregnancy risk C; individuals with heart problems.
How to use Atenolol
Oral use
Adults
- Chest pain: Use 50 mg, in a single dose daily. After 1 week increase the dose to 100 mg.
- Hypertension: Use 25 to 50 mg, in a single daily dose. After 2 weeks, increase the dose to 100 mg.
